LOOKING FOR PHOTOS OF STRAWBERRY FESTIVAL
Did you take a nice picture or two (or more) of this year’s
Strawberry Festival? We’d love to post them on the parish
website. If the pictures are digital, please send copies to
webmaster@kinderhookny.us. If you have prints, please lend
them to the parish office so we can scan them (we promise to
take good care of them).
Any questions, please call Mark Kelly at 518-428-7385.

necessary arrangements.

PARISHIONER CONTACT INFO
During our parish transition, among many other projects, we are working
to clean up our parishioner contact information, as well as our birthday &
anniversary lists. Not surprisingly, in the process we have found many
pieces of conflicting and/or outdated information. In the coming weeks we
will be contacting you, either by telephone, postal or electronic mail to
verify the information in our records. Let us assure you, that this
information will not be shared publicly, and is intended for office and
pastoral care use only.
If it would be more convenient for you, please feel free to complete our
online form at:

25th while Bob Stackman is taking some much deserved time off.
-

through June and part of July at our 10:30am service. We look
forward to the return of the choir in September.

FOOD PANTRY
"Let not the needy be forgotten,
nor the hope of the poor be taken away."
Please try to remember those in our community that are
struggling with having enough to eat. One in 8 children are meal
uncertain, meaning they do not know where their next meal is
coming from. As summer begins, children no longer have access to
no cost or low cost meals at school. Donations of fruit,
vegetables, soups or other canned goods will be gratefully
received. There is a food collection basket in the Main Hall and
in the narthex of the church. .
Please help us to help others.

|
- PRAYERS OF THE PEOPLE
Please review the sick list and see if there is anyone
healthy enough so we can remove them as the list is getting
quite long.
|
|
-
ALTAR FLOWERS
Flowers may be placed on the altar through Pentecost. All
dates in August are available. Flowers may be placed for any
occasion, not only in loving memory of someone, but also for
joyous celebrations of births, anniversary or baptisms.
The donation request for flowers remains the same at $25.00. The
flowers are dependent on donations, if we do not have a memorial
or donation for that weekend, no flowers will be placed on the
altar

BUILDINGS AND GROUNDS
Work continues on the Rectory to make it ready for our new
priest. The electrical work is now complete and we are waiting
on the plumber.
The furnace in the McNary Center is in need of replacement. Bids
are being taken from several companies. Prices quoted are around
$14,000. Since this is not in the budget, your vestry will be
looking at ways to raise money to pay for the furnace. We are
looking for any ideas you may have to help us attain this goal.
We have received $1,100 in donations to date towards the
furnace.
-
MISSING
EQUIPMENT
If anyone has borrowed the garden hose and wheel that was
located by the McNary Center, please return it as soon as
possible. We need this equipment to water the flowers.
-
LANDSCAPING
WORK
Joe Russo has been very busy these last couple of weeks working
on our flower beds in front of the Church. He weeded, cleaned up
the tulip bed, and put down mulch around those beds. We look
forward to seeing the finished project.

SURVEY
RESULTS
The results of the survey have been tabulated and we
anticipate the results to be posted on our web site in the very
near future. The web site is

We will have a limited number of hard copies available to those
parishioners without a computer or access to the internet.
-
BUDGET &
FINANCE COMMITTEE

McNary Center.
-
COMMITMENT TO
ST. PAUL'S
As you know, our pledge income is down and with summer here
- vacations, the down turn in the economy, and other
commitments, but the bills are still coming in. If at all
possible, please any monetary donation you can make towards your
pledge is greatly appreciated.
-
TREASURER
UPDATE
Julie Racquet will be transitioning into the Treasurer
position after having heart surgery and as soon as she is able
after recuperating. Nancy will be here to help with the
transition throughout the summer.
John Phillips has graciously agreed to do the payroll and the
quarterly taxes beginning July 1st.
-
SEXTON'S
HOUSE
Great news - the sexton's house has been rented effective
July 1st. The lease has already been signed.
-
CHALLENGE TO
GROW
We are looking to enable our parish to grow by encouraging
one another to Worship the Lord, and inviting those looking for
a Church to come to St. Paul's.
We had 5 attend Evening Prayer on Saturday, and at 8:00am we had
32 in attendance at 10:30am Morning Prayer we had 20.

|
- SHARE THE WOOL
We continue to knit and crochet our way through the stores of
wool people have donated. We have several newly completed shawls
and throws which will be blessed on Sunday. We have given out
two or three more, and one has been marked for a friend of
Christine's who is in a home.
If you know of anyone who should be given one of these prayer
shawls, please let us know. You can contact St. Paul's at
758-6271 or stpauls@berk.com, or Laura Lane at 758-7271, or
929-1071 or LMLane@fairpoint.net.
