  • COMMUNITY MEMBER IN NEED…
It has come to our attention that a member of our community is in need of a propane stove and a refrigerator. If you can make a donation of either, or know someone who else who can, please contact Father Karl or the parish office (518-758-6271).

  • MEN’s BREAKFAST – Saturday, February 18th
Hey guys, looking forward to another manly breakfast? On Saturday, February 18th, at 8:00am we will have another “Men’s Breakfast” in the Great Hall – or in the kitchen if you like to eat standing up closer to the griddle. (Ladies – it’s a guy thing.)

  • NEW MEMBERS DINNER – Saturday, February 18th
The parish leadership will be hosting a dinner for “new” parish members on Saturday, February 18th. So, if you joined our parish in the past year or so, this is an opportunity to learn more about St.Paul’s, to ask questions about how and why we do things and to become better acquainted with life at St.Paul’s.
Look for more info in coming weeks.

  • SACRAMENT of CONFESSION
Starting on Saturday, December 10th there will be opportunities for individuals to partake in the sacrament of confession. This will be available every Saturday evening in the church at 4:30 PM, and at other times by appointment. The sacrament of confession is a powerful way to strengthen our relationship with Christ. In this rite, the priest declares forgiveness on behalf of Christ and the church, assuring us that Christ took care of our sins on the cross once and for all. If you have never made a confession before and would like to learn more about it, please feel free to speak with Karl.

When it comes to the sacrament of confession, Anglicans believe that "all may, none must, and some should."
  • HOUSE BLESSINGS DURING THE SEASON OF EPIPHANY
“But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”
    (Joshua 24:15 ESV)

With these bold words, Joshua confessed the living God to be his own, even in the face of an idolatrous Israel. Times haven't much changed. All around us the world pursues its idols, beckoning us and our families away from Christ. How can we keep ourselves and our loved ones close to Christ and firm in the faith?

A great place to begin is in the home-with the new “Blessing of a Home” rite found in the Book of Occasional Services. This rite is designed to be used primarily when a family moves to a new home (perhaps as part of a housewarming get-together), but it may also be used on an annual basis-especially during the Epiphany season, in light of the visitation of the Magi to the home of the infant Christ (Matt. 2:1-11).

If you would like Father Karl to come bless your home during the season of Epiphany send him an email at rectorstpaulskinderhook@gmail.com.
  • FOOD PANTRY

“Whatsoever you do for the least of my brethren,
that you do unto me.”

In 2011, your generosity has helped hundreds of people in our town and villages.  Thank you to all who have donated.  For those of you that have not, please consider for the New Year picking up a can or jar (or two) of your family’s favorite the next time you go to the store.  Then drop it off in the basket anytime the church or the McNary Center is open

The Valatie Ecumenical Food Pantry
is now online at:   http://foodpantry.kinderhookny.us

  • HOSPITALITY COMMITTEE
If you would like to be kept up-to-date on events that are happening and not always posted in the bulletin via the Hospitality Committee and would like to be notified by email, please send your information to pgutto@nycap.rr.com.
